Located in Endeavour Square, Stratford, this Heavenly Desserts restaurant involved the full refurbishment and fit-out of an empty commercial unit, transforming a shell space into a fully operational restaurant designed to support both dine-in and takeaway customers.

The fit-out included the complete construction of front and back-of-house areas, creating a spacious customer seating area to the front of the unit, with dedicated preparation, storage and kitchen facilities positioned to the rear. A key feature of the project was the manufacturer’s installation of a grand dessert counter and service bar, forming the focal point of the customer area and supporting the operational requirements of the business.

Works included the installation of a new raised access floor with underfloor services, providing flexibility for mechanical and electrical distribution throughout the unit. Particular consideration was required due to the building’s energy-efficient design, with all mechanical services carefully designed around the existing plate heat exchangers and Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure to ensure compatibility with the landlord’s base-build services.

The comprehensive fit-out also incorporated bespoke seating installations, durable floor tiling, feature wall panelling, decorative lighting, internal signage, decoration and furniture throughout, creating an attractive customer environment whilst maintaining an efficient back-of-house layout.

The Stratford location presented additional logistical challenges throughout the programme, with restricted site access, limited delivery opportunities and strict working constraints. As a result, materials, plant and equipment were delivered outside normal working hours, with significant elements of the works undertaken out of hours to maintain the programme and minimise disruption to neighbouring occupiers within the development.

The completed project transformed a vacant unit into a fully operational restaurant, combining strong visual appeal with the practical infrastructure and operational functionality required to support a busy hospitality environment.
